I’m Jolanda Smulders, a makeup artist, hair and styling professional, and the creative force behind House of Smulders.

With years of experience across beauty, fashion, photography, film, and commercial productions, I create looks that complement the individual, the story, and the overall creative vision.

What I love most about my work is the variety. Every project has its own energy, story, and character — from natural and refined beauty looks for portraits and weddings to bold, creative work for fashion, advertising, and editorial productions.

 

Motion pictures hold a special place in my heart. I love being part of a creative team and contributing to the visual storytelling of a production, whether that means creating a character, developing a specific look, or making sure every detail translates beautifully on screen. The combination of creativity, collaboration, precision, and storytelling makes working on set incredibly rewarding. Winning the "Gouden Kalf" for Best Movie in 2020 for Bulado was the cherry on the cake!

 

Over the years, my work has brought me together with photographers, models, actors, brands, and production teams, both in Curaçao and internationally. I approach every project with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for the craft.
